Who We Are 


The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) is the independent, international, and impartial Association that assists its member boards in protecting the public health.

By virtue of the Association’s unique position within the pharmacy profession and among those governmental bodies that require it, the mission and goals of NABP and NABP Foundation, Inc®, in the area of continuing pharmacy education (CPE) are primarily designed to meet the special continuing education (CE) needs of pharmacy regulators while providing quality CE offerings that are of value to all pharmacist and pharmacy technician participants.

CPE Program Mission and Goals

Mission: To provide CE programming relative to the responsibilities of the state boards of pharmacy that emphasizes current and emerging legal and regulatory issues, as well as current and emerging practices, product classes, and technologies having the potential to impact both the pharmacy profession and public safety.

Goals: To provide CE programs designed to assist state boards of pharmacy officials (including executive officers, inspectors/compliance officers, and pharmacists and pharmacy technicians on staff) in meeting their responsibilities to protect the public health, safety, and welfare that are also consistent with the CE needs of pharmacy practitioners such as pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
